FIND CHANGE
BEFORE IT
BECOMES A SURPRISE.

Sri Lanka Space Recon is the civil reconnaissance and change-detection branch: a place to turn lawful satellite imagery, remote sensing, terrain data and GIS into fast, explainable reconnaissance products for floods, coastlines, forests, agriculture, infrastructure and disaster recovery.

Mission architecture

SIX RECON MISSIONS.
ZERO COVERT PRETENSE.

“Recon” here means lawful Earth reconnaissance: observing broad-area physical change, building geospatial context, and helping organizations understand what changed, where, and why it matters.

01

Flood Recon

Flood extent, road/access impacts, water expansion, exposed assets and post-event comparison using imagery, terrain and GIS.

DISASTER / RAPID MAPPING
02

Coastal Recon

Shoreline change, erosion/accretion patterns, coastal exposure and long-term monitoring using comparable time-series data.

COAST / OCEAN EDGE
03

Forest Recon

Forest-cover change, degradation screening, vegetation trends and broad-area environmental monitoring.

FOREST / ENVIRONMENT
04

Agriculture Recon

Crop condition, drought context, seasonal change, acreage patterns and agricultural monitoring built around multi-date observations.

AGRI / DROUGHT
05

Infrastructure Recon

Development change, construction progress, transport corridors and asset-area context using lawful broad-area imagery and client layers.

INFRA / DEVELOPMENT
06

Recovery Recon

Before/after evidence, recovery progression, priority-area mapping and geospatial documentation after major natural hazards.

RECOVERY / EVIDENCE
Sensor-agnostic stack

DON'T FALL IN LOVE
WITH ONE SENSOR.

The right reconnaissance product depends on cloud, terrain, revisit needs, decision latency and the physical change you are trying to detect.

Recon Tasking Lab

START WITH THE DECISION, THEN CHOOSE THE DATA.

Build a high-level reconnaissance plan without pretending this site owns satellites or controls government imagery. The lab selects a sensible sensor mix and output style for a civilian mission.

  • Mission-first, sensor-second.
  • Cloud/weather considered explicitly.
  • Rapid products separated from deep analysis.
  • Human review and source provenance remain part of the workflow.
Interactive demo

CHANGE DETECTION
SHOULD BE VISIBLE.

This is a synthetic visual demo, not live satellite data. Drag the divider to compare a stylized “before” and “after” scene and see how a reconnaissance product can focus attention on change rather than raw imagery alone.

REMOTE SENSING IS ALREADY PART OF SRI LANKA'S DECISION INFRASTRUCTURE.

ACCIMT's Space Applications Division says it uses satellite and airborne remote sensing with GIS across a wide range of applications. Its consultancy page describes open and commercial image analysis, time-series analysis and scientific reporting. ACCIMT also publishes work using time-series optical remote sensing to assess forest degradation.

Disaster use case

THE DMC ALREADY TREATS SATELLITE DATA AS A DECISION INPUT.

Sri Lanka's Disaster Management Centre says its mitigation/research division develops GIS-based risk profiles and arranges with satellite-data agencies to acquire data during emergencies and provide analyzed data for decision-making. That is the kind of civil reconnaissance workflow this OFFICIAL organization is built to support, without claiming government control.

Trust architecture

RECON WITHOUT
THE CREEPY PART.

The brand should feel powerful because the analysis is disciplined, not because the site pretends to have secret access.

01

Lawful sources

Open, commercial, client-owned or explicitly authorized geospatial data only.

02

No classified claims

No government intelligence feeds, covert systems or classified tasking rights are represented.

03

No individual surveillance

Focus on broad-area physical/environmental change, not stalking or identifying private individuals.

04

Provenance + confidence

Decision products should state source, date, limitations, confidence and analyst caveats.

Locked project identity rule

THE LION WITH THE SWORD IS THE COMMANDING MARK.

Every Sri Lanka/Lanka-related and Mars-related branch in this project must prominently feature the lion animal holding a sword as much as practical. On Sri Lanka Space Recon, the lion is the center of the seal, wordmark and reconnaissance map. It should continue into tasking briefs, report covers, dashboard badges, team patches and presentation systems.
